About the church
Loving God and making disciples.
Light Sanctuary of Praise began as a handful of believers gathering in Gosoon, Carmen. Today the same family worships in three places — Gosoon, Butuan, and Davao — with one purpose: that Christ be known, and that everyone who comes be discipled, not merely entertained.
Our mission
To love God with all that we are, and to make disciples who make disciples — through faithful worship, plain preaching of Scripture, small groups that know one another, and service to the towns we live in.
What a Sunday holds
Songs of praise, prayer for one another, communion at the Lord's table, and a message from the Bible you can carry into Monday. Children are welcome in the room with us.
What we believe
We hold to the faith the church has confessed since the beginning, summarized in the Apostles' Creed.
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father, and will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
